John Hill Construction began with a simple philosophy: every home should be built with exceptional craftsmanship, honest communication, and genuine care for the people who will live there.

Nearly three decades later, those same values continue to guide every custom home and remodeling project we complete throughout Greater Cincinnati. What started as a family business has grown into a trusted team that remains committed to making the building experience as enjoyable as the finished home.

Our Story

Every company has a beginning. Ours started with a simple belief: treat people honestly, build every home as if it were your own, and never compromise on quality.

In 1997, John and Patti Hill founded John Hill Construction with a vision of creating a company where craftsmanship, integrity, and relationships would always come before volume. Rather than becoming the biggest builder, their goal was to become the builder families could trust.

From the very beginning, every project was approached with the understanding that building or remodeling a home is much more than a construction project—it’s a deeply personal journey. Every family has unique dreams, priorities, and challenges, and every home should reflect the people who will live in it.

As the company grew throughout Greater Cincinnati, so did its reputation for thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and honest communication. Much of that growth came from referrals and repeat clients—families who returned for additional projects or confidently recommended John Hill Construction to friends and neighbors. Those lasting relationships remain one of our greatest accomplishments.

Over the years, we’ve been honored to restore historic buildings, build distinctive custom homes, complete transformative remodeling projects, and partner with homeowners to bring their visions to life. We’ve also been fortunate to work alongside talented craftsmen, trusted trade partners, architects, and designers who share our commitment to excellence.

While the building industry continues to evolve, the principles that guided our first project still guide every project today. We believe in taking the time to listen, communicating openly throughout the process, paying attention to the details that matter, and standing behind the work we do long after construction is complete.

Today, John Hill Construction is entering its next chapter. With Ben Hill joining ownership, the company continues as a family-owned business built on the same values established nearly three decades ago. Today Ben leads the company with fresh ideas and a commitment to delivering exceptional homes while creating an experience our clients genuinely enjoy.

Our story isn’t measured by the number of homes we’ve built or the awards we’ve received. It’s measured by the families who invite us back, the friendships we’ve formed, and the trust that’s been earned one project at a time.

As we look toward the future, our mission remains unchanged: to build exceptional homes, create lasting relationships, and leave every client with a place they’re proud to call home.
